Well, sort of. I just wiped all the .plist and other preference files that were stored and reinstalled iPhoto. CocoViewX was a neat little program, but I think I’m getting back on the iPhoto train.

A couple of weeks ago, as I was telling Celeste about how much I loved discovering Showtime’s Weeds, I learned of another Showtime gem: Dexter. I tend to get hooked quite easily with good tv, and with the wait ’til the next season of Weeds being so long (season three is supposedly starting up this summer) and Battlestar Galactica still on break, it wasn’t long before I, too, was dearly devoted. A few things got in the way of me watching all the episodes in one day: 1) I was waiting to watch them when I got back to Providence (but I’ve changed my winter break plans a bit and am staying in California for a couple of weeks longer); 2) I started getting terribly afraid of being alone in the dark (no joke–it’s totally silly, but the show just creeped me out); 3) the LSA (which I will get to writing about either tomorrow or Monday when it’s over–preview: my favorite talks, the polarity panel, “the future of linguistics” and the “word of the year”).
Despite being desperately tired from all of the events of the LSA, I couldn’t help but watch all the rest of Dexter tonight…And while the finale was mind-blowingly awesome, I’m not going to lie. I’m a little bit sad that it’s over. Sure, it’ll free up more time and I’ll stop making creepy Dexter-inspired comments as often, and yes, it’s coming back for another season, there are the books to read, BSG returns soon, Raj has all of the Wire for me to get into when I get back to Providence…
It’ll be ok, but until Season 2 starts up, I’ll be darkly dreaming of Dexter…
