Not just
While I was in California over the break, Celeste and I were in a supermarket in Garden Grove where there was a sticker in the window of the store telling shoppers not to buy tobacco products for minors. The tagline was: “It’s not just wrong, it’s illegal.”  I leave it to you, Gentle Reader, to comment on why this tagline is so amusing. :-)
I’ve seen that sign before, and presumably thought the same thing as you. Pretty retarded that some people think the law is more important than morals.
But looking at it from another angle, it could just be an awkward attempt at trying to say “We think it’s wrong. But even if you disagree, we’ll still fine your ass if you do it”.

Yeah, I entertained the idea that maybe I could let the sign slide under that interpretation. But, well, I can’t :-D
