steam some!

this weekend brendan and i started our second batch of beer, which we’re calling “steam some!” as it’s a california common lager, which is also known as steam beer. unfortunately i didn’t document our first brew, an oak aged imperial stout that actually turned out to be quite tasty! brewing is turning out to be a really enjoyable. i’m hoping to make an IPA next.

while i was at the basement brewhaus, i also picked up a couple of rhizomes for hops growing. i’ll be putting them in the new and improved garden sometime this week and i’m really excited to see what happens!
