I’ve defended my Major Paper, which offered a full syntax, semantics and pragmatics for the adnominal intensifying -self form in English. The main argument in the paper was to show how it may be preferable to abandon focus semantics altogether in accounting for the presuppositional facts about adnominal ERs.
